Darebin Wetlands
The La Trobe University wetlands feed the Darebin Creek that eventually makes its way to the Yarra River near Alphington, Melbourne. There is great wildlife (swans, ducks, coots, swamp hens, tiger snakes, river red gums, wattle, white and black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, peewees, hawks). The painting “Darenbin Wetlands” (for image see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gideonpolya/3728855991/ ) with extraordinarily anthropomorphic dead red gums (Darebin wetlands, La Trobe University, Bundoora) is in acrylic on canvas board (22 inch x 30 inch = 55.9 cm x 76.2 cm) and has a classical, Fibonacci Sequence-implicit, Golden Rectangle geometry that is used (as well as other geometrical elements) in my huge Paintings for Peace shown on this website.
