Unfortunately, in the Western Murdochracies we live in an extraordinary, holocaust-ignoring, genocide-ignoring Culture of Ignoring, a Culture of Denial, a Culture of Lying by Omission (see “Climate Emergency, Exceptionalism & Ignoring Downunder. Letter to Eminent Australians over Public Honesty”: http://sites.google.com/site/climatecrisisarticles/climate-emergency-1 ).

Peace is the only way but Silence kills and Silence is complicity. We are obliged to INFORM others about gross abuses of humanity and risks to humanity e.g. the ongoing Australian Aboriginal Genocide (2 million post-invasion excess deaths 1788-2009; 9,000 Aborigines die avoidably each year), Palestinian Genocide (post-1967 excess deaths 0.3 million), Iraqi Genocide (post-invasion excess deaths 2.5 million; excess death 4.4 million, 1990-2009), Afghan Genocide (post-invasion excess deaths 4.5 million) and worsening Climate Genocide (that is set to kill 10 billion people this century due to unaddressed, man-made climate change).

However my words having failed, as an artist I have also turned to painting HUGE (circa 1.3 metres x 2.9 metres) Paintings for Peace, the Planet and for Mother and Child – a huge enterprise of Art for Peace, the Planet and Mother and Child.

All of these huge paintings have a Golden Rectangle geometrical scaffolding and many indeed have a Double Golden Rectangle geometrical scaffolding after the fashion of Pablo Picasso's huge anti-war painting "Guernica".
